Speedwayweltmeister & Europameister mit 125ccm Motor von TJR
Christian Rinkenburger

Even 13 years old and junior world champion of 125ccm. “He will be the great champion in 2010 or 2015”, so the words of the motorsport press some years ago. But such a long time Christian “Chrissi” Rinkenburger from MSC Langnau didn´t want to wait. In 2007 he became world junior champion of 125ccm in Bielefeld / Germany. An absolutely success for a thirteen year old boy in speedway racing.

Here is the running of the Junior World Cup in 2008:

It all started with the active race career of his father – Werner Rinkenburger – who started many years for MSC Langnau in the national speedway championship. When Werner retired from active racing Christian has already been infected with the passion for speedway racing. His mother Sylvia and his sister Jennifer have supported his racing career since than, too. He was six year old when Christian participated in his first race in “Schülerklasse A” with a 50ccm KTM bike. One year later in 2001 he proved his talent when he won the German master championship in “Schülerklasse A” – 2002 he continued driving in “Schülerklasse B1” now with 65ccm racing bike with several gears.

2004 after an outstanding season Christian had gotten his first German mastership in “Schülerklasse B1” and also in 2005. 2005 at the final race he fought with Kevin Walter his strongest opponent and with a dramaticaly finish scene and only one point more – victory! One year later this class was canceled and now Christian will be for the rest of the time the last German champion in this school class ( his third mastership of this). But not enough: in this year Christian got the title “best driver in south German speedway junior championship!”

Also in 2006 the ten year old boy had incredible results. On the speedway ring of Neuenknick in a thrilling finish he became German Vice Champion 2006 with a 125ccm engine. Only some weeks later the enthusiastic race family drove to Blijham/Netherlands and her he was one of the finalists in the 125ccm European Championship – and after an extraordinary race he became vice European champion. At this time his greatest success – a success against a lot of good European competition.

2007 the youngest racer from MSC Langnau received his greatest success – the junior world championship of 125ccm in the first WM controlled by FIM.

He loves the short speedway ring of Haunstetten (Augsburg), Landshut and Berghaupten. And so he became 2008 after seven years with nearly fourteen years European- and World Champion of the 125ccm.
